Hebden Bridge Group Practice Achieves Active Practice Status

Posted on:

We are pleased to share that Hebden Bridge Group Practice has been recognised as an Active Practice.

The Active Practice Charter is a national initiative supported by the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP), which encourages GP practices to promote physical activity as part of everyday health and wellbeing. Research shows that moving more can help prevent and manage a wide range of conditions including heart disease, diabetes, depression, and musculoskeletal problems.

As an Active Practice, our team is committed to:

  • Encouraging patients to move more as part of a healthy lifestyle
  • Signposting local opportunities to be active in our community
  • Promoting physical activity within our practice environment
  • Supporting staff and patients to build movement into daily routines

Even small changes can make a big difference to health. We will be sharing more information over time about ways patients can stay active and the local activities available in our area.

We are proud to be part of a growing network of practices helping to make physical activity a normal part of healthcare. πŸ’šπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸšΆβ€β™‚️
