How Do I... Make An Appointment?

Patients will be seen in surgery by appointment only. Our receptionists will ask you a few simple questions to ensure the most appropriate clinician sees you.
Bookings are taken daily by telephone from 8.00am - 6.00pm or you can call in to make an appointment.
Routine appointments can be booked up to four weeks in advance; please ask the receptionist.
Urgent cases will always be seen on the same day.
If you are unable to keep your appointment please let us know as soon as possible, so we can then offer the appointment to another patient.
We have touch-screen facilities at valley Medical Centre and Grange Dene Medical Centre to allow patients to check in for their appointments without the need to wait to speak to a receptionist.

How Do I... Obtain Telephone Advice?

If you require telephone advice, please telephone the surgery before 11.00am, Monday - Friday. The receptionist will take details of your request. The Doctor will return your call after morning surgery. We can call patients on mobile phones but prefer to use a landline. Please note that for reasons of confidentiality, we are unable to leave messages on answering machines.

How Do I... Obtain A Home Visit?

If you are physically unable to get to the surgery, please telephone before 11.00am Monday to Friday, with full details of the problem so that we can judge the urgency of your call. The Practice covers a large rural area and therefore home visits require a lot of travelling time. Please come to the surgery if at all possible. If you are not sure whether you need a home visit, please telephone and ask for advice.
