Antenatal Clinic
There are weekly antenatal clinics run by the Midwives at the Hebden Bridge surgery.
Postnatal Support
A programme of weekly topics led by our team of Health Visitors is held at Hebden Bridge, giving information ranging from weaning to getting a good night's sleep! This is a great opportunity to make new friends in an informal setting.
Well Baby Clinic
A clinic for the assessment and care of well babies is attended by Health Visitors, Practice Nurses and a GP and held at Mytholmroyd and Hebden Bridge.
Appointments are only necessary for routine immunisations and 8-week checks and will be sent by letter from the Calderdale Primary Care Trust. Please note: if your baby or infant is unwell, and you think they may have an infection, they should be seen in surgery and not in the clinic.
Ultrasound Clinics
Clinics are held at Hebden Bridge surgery for maternity scans such as dating and anatomy.
Colposcopy Clinic
Clinics are held fortnightly at Hebden Bridge where treatments for cervical abnormalities are performed.
Healthy Heart Clinic
Clinics are held regularly at Hebden Bridge and Mytholmroyd by a Practice Nurse qualified in the care of patients with coronary heart disease. The Nurse will monitor blood pressure, routine blood tests and give advice on leading a healthy lifestyle. An appointment will automatically be sent to these patients for annual routine monitoring.
Asthma Clinic
Asthma Nurses are available to monitor peak flow and general condition and can advise on self-management plans and treatment. Regular monitoring (at least annually) is recommended and a recall system for patients is in operation. Clinics are held at Mytholmroyd and Hebden Bridge.
Chest Clinic
Your Doctor will refer you to this clinic where our specialist Nurse will monitor your chest complaint and offer advice on treatment and lifestyle. Chest clinics are held at Hebden Bridge and Mytholmroyd.
Diabetic Clinic
Diabetic clinics are held regularly at Hebden Bridge and Mytholmroyd. At the clinic, Practice Nurses qualified in diabetes care, Podiatrists and Dieticians are available to monitor, treat and offer advice on
blood pressure, diet, vision and foot care. An appointment will be sent to you for annual routine monitoring.
Alcohol/Substances Misuse Clinic
your doctor can refer you to these clinics that are held at Hebden Bridge and Mytholmroyd, where support and advice is available to patients from a specialist Nurse Dealing with the effects of
alcohol/substance misuse.
If necessary, your doctor will advise you to attend or refer you to one of the clinics and attandance is by appointment only.
